The Epstein Files: A Glitch in the Matrix

I am coming to the conclusion that there is an elitist ruling class of financiers, politicians, and power brokers running this world, and they are playing us like a fiddle. When the latest tranche of the Epstein files was released, I found myself putting the best construction on the implicated individuals I like and assuming the worst for those I don’t: “Peter Attia didn’t mean it, but Deepak Chopra? Yeah, he’s a perv.”

Clearly, inclusion in the files does not prove wrongdoing; there are certainly plenty of innocent contacts. However, I am struck by the sense that this is an opportunity to step outside of the “matrix” for those who are willing.

Everyone has latched onto the sickening child exploitation associated with the Epstein files. This is just the grotesque fruit of a tree whose rot reaches the very taproot of our institutions. If we are willing to look, we can see a group of people who are above the law, beyond political parties, and without borders. They act as gods among us, and their intentions are not benevolent.

Most of the people associated with Epstein are not child predators; they are power brokers—the ruling elite. Epstein, among other things, was a “hyper-connector.” An honest assessment of his network and the scope of its nefarious nature cannot be pinned on one political party. The attempt to make this a partisan issue is a sleight of hand.

All of these individuals have significant, understated ties to Epstein. Most of these connections have nothing to do with child exploitation; they reveal a ruling class that exists above party lines. This cabal is above the nation-state as well. Epstein was closely tied to power centers in Israel, the UK, and Russia, and even the UN through General Assembly President Miroslav Lajčák.

Maybe that is why we are borrowing billions from China to fund wars in Ukraine and Gaza. Republican/Democrat, Black/white, Muslim/Christian, vaxxed/unvaxxed—they transcend all of it. The lack of accountability or investigation by the FBI and the Department of Justice is the “tell.” We are busy playing blue-and-red checkers while they play 3D chess.

With the advent of podcasting and other decentralized media, the system is exposed. It will be hard to hide it again. What do “we the people” do? I am still metabolizing this, but I think the first step is to drop the party lines and face the reality that the global elite are not benevolent leaders. To lead us, they require us to follow. I, for one, am done following.

Scrutinize and support good policy alone; tribalism behind a leader or a party is how they play us. The default position must be distrust—they have left us no choice. The “gods” among us are counting on us to be lazy, partisan pawns bought and sold by tax refunds and SNAP benefits. They rule us only if we let them. It’s time to take back our agency.
